Jun 1st, 2016 - The Road Weary Warrior is just what the name implies: if not exhausted, then at the very least, no longer excited about the prospect of business travel. This road warrior, knows the value of travel, but tries to limit it and simply it as much as possible.

The Road Weary Warrior is just what the name implies: if not exhausted, then at the very least, no longer excited about the prospect of business travel. This road warrior, knows the value of travel, but tries to limit it and simply it as much as possible.

The Road Weary Warrior typically:

  • Takes an average of 15 trips per year, with an average length of three nights away per trip
  • Is 35 years of age or older (74%)
  • Enjoys staying in touch with family (41%) and feeling safe (42%) while on the road for work
  • Is most likely out of all Road Warrior categories to travel with a portable GPS device

The key differentiator for Road Weary Warrior is that, while Veterans have a tendency to be upper management, and High Tech Warriors have a tendency to view travel as an exciting opportunity, the Road Weary Warriors have a tendency to view travel as a “hassle.” They understand the need for travel and in person meetings, can manage business travel logistics extremely well, but view trips with a certain degree of trepidation. 50% of these road warriors even prefer to drive to their business destinations.
