Take Care of your Pharmaceutical Clients on September 25th, Annual World Pharmacists Day

Aug 11th, 2016 - September 25th marks the sixth annual World Pharmacists Day. This day was proclaimed by the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) as a day for pharmacists worldwide to “organize activities that promote and advocate for the role of the pharmacist in improving health in every corner of the world.” This day is utilized by pharmacists around the world to showcase the massive impact that pharmacists have on global health, and on their patients’ well-being.

This year, the theme for World Pharmacists Day is “Pharmacists: Caring for you” to show the development that the role of pharmacists has undergone from being a “provider of medicines to that of a provider of care.” The theme was also developed to call attention to the emotional connection that pharmacists develop with their patients throughout the years, and the support they offer to them.
